Review of Vienna to Hallstatt day trip with Schloss Ort, Alpine scenery, Skywalk lift, free time, transport, guides, and practical tips.

“Lilly and our driver were wonderful. Time was very well managed. Lilly is very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about Austria. Lilly also gave us some cute little souvenirs which I found very thoughtful. What I found as a minor inconvenience was that the toilets and the charging ports in the bus weren’t working but it’s something that hopefully could be resolved. Overall the tour gave me a wonderful experience!”

Review of Vienna to Salzburg day trip: scenic Salzkammergut drive, guided Old Town walk, Sound of Music sites, costs, timing, and tips.

“It was a nice but long day. The lake district is absolutely beautiful and the landscapes are amazing. Salzburg is also beautiful, but overrated in my opinion. The historical centre is small and expensive. The guide was nice, but I would have liked to spend more time with him in Salzburg instead of having so much free time. Also, the day was way too long! There’s no need to make so many ‘food’ stops and for so long. It would be better to to shorter stops and finish earlier. Nice tour, but way too long, I preferred the Danube and Melk Abbey tour that we did next day with the…”

Combine Salzburg’s Sound of Music sights with a thrilling Berchtesgaden salt mine visit, alpine scenery, local guides, and good full-day value.

“We joined the two half-day tours in early June 2024. The tour at the Salt Mines was interesting, though we got trapped in the elevator for some time at the end of the guided tour :p For the "Original Sound of Music Tour", the tour guide was funny and informative, telling us stories about the making of the movie, leading us to sing the songs of the movie, etc. If you are a fan of the movie, you'll definitely love this tour. If you are not so familiar with the movie, better watch it again before joining the tour :p”

“We went to Mauthausen because my husbands father was in the 11th Army that liberated the camp. I felt the guide walked to FAST and also spoke to fast and brief about each point of interest. He spoke more about his political views on what happened in the past and how he felt this was would happened again with what was happening in the world today. I agree with him that history can repeat itself but I wanted to know more about the camp ! I will never regret taking this tour and we are fortunate to be able to see what happened in the past so that our futures…”
