“This was a fabulous tour!! Our tour guide Peter was very knowledgeable and generous with his time (he ended up extending it an extra hour or so, so we could learn more about the history of Vienna!). The food was fantastic, all the spots we saved for our return to Vienna. Real highlight was the coffee and stop at a food stall run by a dedicated man whose family had been serving Viennese yummies for decades. Really great grand finale. Also it’s a good tour - expect to eat…a lot! If you’re not interested in trying a whole bunch of foods throughout the day, this probably isn’t for you.”

Review of the Wachau Valley day tour from Vienna, with Danube cruise, Dürnstein, Melk Abbey, Austrian lunch, and local wine tastings.

“The nine-hour tour was well structured, with sufficient stops around Wachau to admire the scenery and get to know the history of the region. The boat trip at the end was quite enjoyable, allowing us relaxing time to drink sparkling wine and see the sights drift by, from villages to fortresses and beautiful monasteries. Above all our excellent and exceptionally knowledgeable guide (Camillo? 18.05.2025) provided us with inside information on the grape growing and wine production process, the effect of micro-climates in the Wachau valley, and of course an extensive and very pleasant introduction to several varieties of grüner veltliner, riesling - and even an unexpected sauvignon blanc. Warmly ...”

Our host Stylianos provided an intimate educational experience in which we learned a great deal about Austrian wine making, and the art of wine tasting with 6 different selections of Austrian wines paired with a charcuterie board. We received educational materials as well. I would highly recommend this experience.”
